We were pleased to be able to take advantage of a January 2 for 1 deal on meals. We said to the staff member we are using this voucher. She confirmed that was fine. When we ordered, there was some confusion because our table number still had someone else's order on it. It distracted her and she asked a colleague, they were very nice and said they would sort it out. As we waited at the order station a supervisor came out and told staff member my choice was a "special" ( it was pie and mash frankly not that special ) and not included in the offer. That's fine I said I'll just have fish and chips. The Chef then appeared and said you don't need to change we can do it for you this once! We thanked him. We paid after eating without paying much attention but saw 2 for1 deal written on the receipt. Next day I realised that my meal had not been subtracted . We called in to explain. I cannot believe how awful Joe, the Assistant Manager was.. patronising, condescending and rude doesn't really cover it. Refused to refund or offer any solution or apology . Wasn't his problem apparently and gave examples of his own customer experiences, which we didn't need to hear about and basically he didn't believe me. So they still have my £13.95 under false pretences . Which I don't want now. Just one single sorry would suffice but clearly that was too much for Assistance Manager Joe. Very distressing to be treated like that !

Went to Hatfield with friends, we all had a fantastic meal, great meal deal, staff were fabulous. Will definitely use it more in the future and advise friends to sample the place. Well done to all the polite and helpful staff

Cannot fault staff at all. Friendly, accommodating and lovely. Food was great. Service was great. Room however was dilapidated. Mould all round shower, rusted radiators, which you couldnt turn down, broken floorboards, I could go on. Suprised the owners have such loyal staff, when they left to defend hotel that so needs a makeover and basics lacking. Have pics.

Dreadful experience. On a short break (not staying there) stopped off for food just before midday. Had out 2 year old with us. Lady who greeted us explained lunch not served until 12 but anything on the breakfast side of menu we could order. As our son was very hungry we attempted to order from the kids menu (not with the lunch menu) only to be informed we couldn't have that until 12,even though it's not lunch! Absolute joke! Ended up having to order stuff we didn't really want as needed food. Very disappointing and very over priced. Will not come back.

Very good location, but some let downs. Hotel is quite old, therefore you can hear other guests all the time. Visiting off season service staff were not the most friendly. Restaurant had no vegan options or dietary inclusive options for dinner, although there are inclusive breakfast options.

We've stayed here a couple of times. Rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are helpful and polite. It's seafront and the bar and restaurant terrace is lovely to sit on in the summer. Menus offer a variety of things and there are good gluten free options

Stayed here for new year Amazing hotel Lovely friendly helpful staff, nothing to much trouble The sea view twin room we had was perfect, very clean,with tea and coffee making facilities. House keeping daily Good selection at breakfast cooked or a good selection of cereal, pastries etc, the restaurant food was excellent too we ate there each evening All in all we had a lovely time, and will hopefully be returning soon would highly recommend

Went to new years eve party 2024 paid £15 each we were told they would have tables and chairs available we had to sit outside along with other people we were absolutely freezing it was so packed we left at 10am . We live one hour away. Total waste of money and petrol. Absolute disappointment.

I went to the New Year’s Eve party me and my mum we got shoved outside as no tables was indoor I’m absolutely disgusting in the way we have been treasure we wasted 1 hour to get there you have been to greedy and had way to many people in there we was promise a table and cheats inside but no we sat outside for 3 and half hours freezing to death I’m not happy I will not be returning there ever again you will now lose another customer. I hope you regret what you have done.

Visited the Hatfield Hotel for our Christmas lunch, and it was perfect. The staff were courteous. Overall, it was a great Christmas celebration lunch

Our daughter booked a 2night stay at this Hotel 29 Dec to chill out after a hectic 'Christmas and certainly we did that room 212 no heating contacted reception a few times and each time the answer was I will tell the manager.After 3 hours with no heating we decided to check out and when we saw the Manager to explain the reason he was so rude and obnoxious didn't really want to listen just refund my daughter's money he wasn't even bothered to ask two over 80 year olds how far we have to travel back home

Stayed in Lodge room nice when warm up . Breakfast nice but main meal liver and bacon liver over cooked and tuff complained to two people but didn't care.

Twin Room for one night for party night. Very impressed with this hotel and staff. I am local and never been to this hotel before... staff All friendly and helpful. Party night was great and DJ was brilliant 😁 food excellent. Room basic but clean and comfortable. Bar area lovely with views of the sea. Will definitely return and recommend this beautiful local hotel. Well done to whoever did the colour scheme and seating in the bar it's comfortable and modern but welcoming.👍👏

What a great place! The staff here are AMAAAAZING … couldn’t do enough for you! The location is WOW… so central and right on the beach, with just a short walk into town, close to all public transport. They have some very talented chefs, who put on a beautiful meal, should you want to stay in for food and the service is second to none. Absolutely book here for your get away or a lovely meal… even a party night (they’re great too!). You won’t be disappointed!

Slightly dated, but clean and tidy. Well located for the town, with free parking right opposite the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

We stayed in the Hatfield Lodge, a separate building yo the main hotel. It was small but well presented, the bathroom extract fan was poor but everything else was okay. We didn't eat as we had arrangements with local family. A few drinks were sampled in the bar which was nice and the staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming.

A lovely place with sea view with plenty of food and drink options. We mainly use for a social tea after the weekly ParkRun and it is perfect for that all year round.

We often visit the Hatfield for a coffee/scone...we have always had a positive experience here and the location is wonderful. However, we visited today and the service provided by a member of staff in the bar area was quite simply appalling. She was not verbally rude in fact she didn't utter a word and I was clearly an ' irritant' for wanting to be served ! Customer service( or lack of!!) was clearly not her strong point. I will seriously reconsider my options when going for coffee along the Seafront as there are plenty of other establishments hopefully offering a far better customer service.

Stayed here for two nights rooms are bit dated but provide all the basics like TV, bed, bathroom. Comfy bed clean room and it was quiet even with a wedding party staying next door. The bar area is great lovely view great staff full of banter and smiles very good customer service. Car park is limited fills up very quickly best to get there early and register the car in hotel or get a ticket. Overall it made our stay great will come again.

Ideal place for a coffee in a sheltered sunny spot where you can watch the waves come and go. Peacefully.
